Event Name Date Time Description
Student Engagement Track Oct 15, 2018 9:00 AM -
4:00 PM est
Research shows that the more students are engaged in school life beyond the classroom, the higher their graduation rates. They also make better life choices and have heightened social and emotional skills. We also know that the more students are engaged in co-curricular activities the more parents are engaged. Join us to hear new ways that you can engage every student in your school - K-12. This is also a great opportunity to bring your teacher advisors.
Technology Track Oct 15, 2018 9:00 AM -
4:00 PM est
For the last few years, we have focused on building our infrastructure and making sure every student has access to a device in our schools; however, we have not focused on changing our teaching practices and how we deliver content to students. This day will provide administrators (and teachers) an opportunity to have hands-on learning in how to move classrooms from using tablets in the same way as traditional textbooks. Come see the classroom of today!
Public School Success Track Oct 16, 2018 9:00 AM -
4:00 PM est
If you listened to political leaders you'd never know how successful Florida's public schools are in supporting and raising student achievement. As the largest workforce in the state of Florida, we need everyone talking about the great things happening in our buildings. Join us to discuss how we share the message of success and foster the culture and climate that gets everyone talking positively.
Teacher & Student Absenteeism Track Oct 16, 2018 9:00 AM -
4:00 PM est
Florida is the leader in educational achievement gains across the country, and we are also a leader in the number of students suspended from school and the number of teacher absentees. Hear from national and state experts on changing both student and teacher attendance so our students have the best opportunity to succeed.
Early Learning Track Oct 17, 2018 9:00 AM -

Key early learning years start before children enter kindergarten and the VPK program offered by the state is a great start. Learn from state and national experts on the best ways to engage your youngest students from PreK-Grade 2.
