NASSP ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR
2007 Assistant Principal of the Year
In 2004, NASSP and Virco, Inc. partnered to applaud secondary school assistant principals in their dedication and success in school leadership. The State and National Assistant Principal of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle level and high school assistant principals who have demonstrated success in leadership, curriculum and personalization.
Each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense Education Activity will select an assistant principal to represent their state. From these state winners, three finalists are selected to become eligible for the National Assistant Principal of the Year award. The National Assistant Principal of the Year will receive an award of $5,000.
State winners are honored at our annual Assistant Principal’s Forum and Awards Banquet in Washington, DC. In addition, the Assistant Principal of the Year finalists will be guests of NASSP and Virco at the NASSP Annual Convention.
Applications for the 2007 National Assistant Principal of the Year will be available in late summer, 2006. Encourage an outstanding assistant principal you know to apply!
