5 Pasco schools get new principals, but more vacancies remain
The Pasco County school district continues to shift its school leaders amid year-end retirements, resignations and promotions.
Pasco High School’s next leader will be Mark Feldman, who will be promoted from his post as an assistant principal at Fivay High School. Feldman, who joined the district in 2011, replaces Kari Kadlub, who leaves Pasco High after 13 years to become the district’s executive director of high schools, a new position.
Wesley Chapel Elementary will be led by Meighan Melsheimer, currently principal at Chester Taylor Elementary in Zephyrhills. Melsheimer replaces Stan Mykita, who is retiring after 22 years with the district.
Rick Saylor, who has led Centennial Middle School since 2012, will transfer into Chester Taylor Elementary. No replacement has been announced for Centennial.
Gulfside Elementary School in Holiday will be run by Tammy Berryhill, a veteran administrator who most recently has been principal at Richey Elementary. She will replace Pio Rizzo, who is leaving the district to take a position in Hernando County schools. A new principal has not been announced for Richey.
New River Elementary School also is getting a new principal. Kelly Wisneski, currently principal of Denham Oaks Elementary, will take over from Colleen Wilkinson, who is being promoted to director of early childhood education. Wilkinson is taking over for Vicki Wolin, who is retiring after 36 years with the district.
In addition to Centennial, Richey and Denham Oaks, Wiregrass Elementary School also will soon be getting a new leader, after the promotion of Nena Green to executive director of elementary schools.
The district announced new leaders at Gulf High and Wiregrass Ranch High in late May.
