Six Leon County Schools sites are getting new principals next school year. Here's the list
Several Leon County School sites will get new leadership in the 2025-26 school year as Superintendent Rocky Hanna presents recommendations for new principals to the Leon County School Board.
None of the new appointments made available May 19 come from outside the district and all currently serve in a leadership capacity within the district.
Here is a list of the appointments:
Leon High School
Michael Bryan, the current principal of Leon High will retire in June.
Taking his place is Gilchrist Elementary Principal Scotty Crowe. He also previously served as principal of Montford Middle School.
Gilchrist Elementary School
With Crowe taking over at Leon High, the principal's role at Gilchrist will be filled by Lisa Mehr, who is currently principal at Woodville K-8 School.
Woodville K-8 School
Cari Molinaro will take lead of Woodville K-8 school after serving as an assistant principal there for the past year. She served as assistant principal at Leon High for six years before being appointed to Woodville.
Griffin Middle School
Kerri Lamar-Anderson will take the reins at Griffin Middle following the resignation of its previous leader Zelena O'Banner after a district investigation into allegations of financial misconduct.
Anderson is currently principal of W.T. Moore, but she isn't new to the halls of Griffin Middle School. Before taking over at W.T. Moore, Lamar-Anderson was assistant principal at Oak Ridge Elementary. She also previously served as a teacher and a dean at Griffin.
A new principal for W.T. Moore will be appointed at a later date.
Cobb Middle School
Logan Crouch was tapped to lead Cobb Middle School after serving as an assistant principal at Raa Middle School. Crouch replaces William Millard.
School of Arts and Innovative Sciences (SAIL) High School
