Children's Week 2025 Advocate Award Recipients

Industry,

Congratulations to Our

2025 Advocate Award Recipients

Monday was filled with powerful advocacy, inspiring moments, and meaningful connections—and we couldn’t have done it without YOU.

🎉 Congratulations to our Children's Week Florida™ 2025 Advocate Award recipients!

2025 Chiles Advocate

Loranne Ausley has spent over 25 years advocating for Florida’s children and families, beginning her work in the Governor’s office and later serving over a decade in the Legislature. She played a leading role in establishing the Florida Children’s Cabinet, Whole Child Leon, and the Children’s Services Council of Leon County. Currently, she is the incoming board chair of the Institute for Child Success, a national organization advancing child well-being. Ausley lives in Tallahassee with her family and is a 4-time Ironman finisher.

2025 Impact Advocate

Dr. Jose L. Dotres, Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, is a lifelong educator and advocate. A former ESOL student, he brings personal experience and visionary leadership to a district of over 330,000 students, advancing policies in literacy, mental health, teacher retention, and STEM education. His advocacy extends statewide, including testimony before the Florida Legislature on early childhood and literacy initiatives.

2025 Youth Advocate

Christopher Page is the president of Page by Page, a youth-led literacy organization that has distributed over 750,000 books to underserved children. Inspired by his own experience growing up with limited access to books, he launched creative initiatives like pop-up book fairs and virtual libraries to spark a love of reading. His advocacy continues a family tradition—his sister received the Youth Advocate Award in 2022—and his work is making a lasting impact on literacy in communities across Florida.

Thank you for your tireless commitment to Florida’s children and families!

A big thank you to all who participated in today’s events and used your voice to elevate the needs of our youngest citizens. Advocacy is stronger when we come together.

And a huge shoutout to Walmart for being our Advocacy Dinner & Awards Ceremony Featured Partner! Your support helps make these moments of connection and celebration possible.
