Two North Florida counties are getting new money for hurricane relief.
The state awarded $50,000 each to the Lafayette and Hamilton county school district foundations for their quick work getting schools back open days after Hurricane Helene.
The state also gave $7 million to groups across Florida that are helping fix storm-damaged homes. All the money came from the state’s disaster fund.
