After losing its entire administrative team in June, Tallahassee Collegiate Academy's governing board has appointed a new principal at the school.

Robin Oliveri, a veteran educator who is well known in Tallahassee for her work in science education and educational leadership, was announced principal of the school July 10.

Tallahassee Collegiate Academy was founded in 2023 on the Tallahassee State College campus to offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credits while focusing heavily on a STEM based education.

The school earned an A from the state in both 2024 and 2025.

“Oliveri brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and a strong vision for STEM education and student success,” said Kim Kelling, who led the search committee on behalf of the TCA Governing Board. “Her leadership will help TCA continue to grow as a model for academic excellence and innovation.”

With over 24 years of experience under her belt, Oliveri has served in the classroom as a science teacher as well as at the administrative level in schools.

Her most recent position was as assistant principal of curriculum at Deerlake Middle School. She has also served as program director for the magnet program for science and engineering at Cobb Middle, director of the Capital Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and was the Leon County School district's first science instructional coach.

She was named Leon County Schools Teacher of the Year in 2014.

Amanda Clements, spokesperson for Tallahassee State College, said the positions for assistant principal and dean of students are still empty, and the search now falls into the hands of Oliveri.
