FASA Board Requirements

For the 2026 FASA Elections, positions available include:

President-elect - this is a three-year term including one year in each as president-elect, president, and past president.

Expectations of the Role

Central Region Director - this is a two-year term and representatives must be from: Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, Volusia

South Region Director - this is a two-year term and representatives must be from: Broward, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, St. Lucie

Expectations of the Role

FAPA Director - this is a three-year term and candidates must be an active assistant principal.*

Expectations of the Role

FAISA Director - this is a three-year term and candidates must be current instructional supervisor/administrator at district level.*

Expectations of the Role

FSAA Director - this is a three-year term and candidates must be current district level administrator not overseeing instruction.*

Expectations of the Role

 
To be eligible for election as President-Elect or a Director, a nominee must:

  1. be a member of FASA for at least three years,
  2. have three years administrative experience in Florida,
  3. be committed to FASA’s purposes and objectives as outlined in the Constitution and Bylaws,
  4. must have written statement from school district superintendent (or principal for assistant principals) acknowledging the individual intends to hold the position and has the support of the district.
  5. *serve their district in the role specified for the position, if applicable.

To Submit Nominations
  1. Nominations must be received in FASA office by 5:00 p.m., February 1, 2026 through the ELECTIONS FORM
  2. Written support from school district superintendent (or principal for assistant principals) for the individual to hold the position on the FASA Board,
  3. Three signatures/emails of support from FASA members sent to gwilloughby@fasa.net, and
  4. Conflict of Interest Statement signed and returned to gwilloughby@fasa.net

Northeast Region Director – this is a two-year term and representatives must be from: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, Union

Northwest Region Director - this is a two-year term and representatives must be from: Bay, Calhoun, Gadsden, Escambia, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Taylor, Wakulla, Walton, Washington
