Michael George

Dr. Michael George serves as the principal of Atlantic Coast High School, the largest high school in Duval County. An innovator and a stubborn advocate for all students, Dr. George forged a relationship with Mayo Clinic and developed the Mayo Medical Pathway and partnered with Impact Florida to establish a Universal Advanced Placement Program. Dr. George was recognized as the 2025 NASSP and FASA Florida Principal of the year and the 2024 FLDOE Principal of the Year.
Michael started his career teaching in Ghana. Following his time in West Africa, Michael taught social studies and served as a dean of students at Martin Luther King High School in Philadelphia.
A leadership opportunity led Michael to New Orleans, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Enriched Schools and dedicated four years as principal at Cohen College Prep High School where his team achieved a 100% college acceptance rate each year under his leadership.
Dr. George earned his MBA in International Business from Arcadia University & received his doctorate in Ed. Leadership from Xavier University, Louisiana.
