Professional Bio

I grew up in Pensacola, Florida and education has always played a big part in my life. I attended McArthur Elementary, Ransom Middle School, and graduated from Tate High School. I am a product of the Escambia County Public School System and have proudly served in the elementary setting as a classroom teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. I recently served as the ELA Subject Area Specialist for grades 6-12 during which time I had the opportunity to work with all of the middle and high schools throughout the entire district. Last summer I was appointed as the Principal of Myrtle Grove Elementary and have just concluded my first year as Principal. In addition, I have been employed as an Educational Leadership adjunct instructor in the School of Education at the University of West Florida since I earned my doctorate in 2014.
