The Okaloosa County School District celebrated the achievements of 619 high school seniors on April 22 during the Anne T. Mitchell Academic Senior Honors Assembly, held at Northwest Florida State College’s Raider Arena.

The annual assembly, named in honor of longtime educator and administrator Anne T. Mitchell, highlights academic excellence across Okaloosa County and celebrates the future potential of its graduating seniors.

Students from Baker, Choctawhatchee, Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Laurel Hill and Niceville High Schools were recognized for their academic accomplishments. Each honoree earned a weighted GPA of 3.75 or higher, achieving Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude distinctions.

"We had an amazing evening celebrating our students’ hard work, determination, and success,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers in a statement. “Each of these seniors has shown outstanding dedication throughout their high school years, and it’s an honor to recognize them for their achievements."
