Primary Elections Are Coming Soon: Get to Know Your Candidates

While 2026 is a midterm election year, that doesn't make these races any less important. In fact, the decisions Floridians make this year will help shape the state's future for years to come.

Several key statewide offices are on the ballot, including Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer, and Commissioner of Agriculture. Depending on the outcomes, Florida's political landscape could look very different by the time you attend FASA's Advocate '27 Conference in January. Voters will also decide races for the Florida House and Senate, along with several seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

So why are we talking about all these races? Because it's almost time to make your voice heard and help shape Florida's future.

Important Election Dates

Primary Election

• Election Day: August 18, 2026
• Early Voting: August 8-15, 2026

General Election

• Election Day: November 3, 2026
• Early Voting: October 24-31, 2026

If you have not registered to vote, the deadline for the Primary Election has already passed. However, there is still time to register for the General Election. The voter registration deadline is October 5, 2026.

Know Before You Vote

Before casting your ballot, take time to learn about the candidates running for office. FASA has developed a candidate tracking tool that lists everyone who has qualified to run and will be updated after each election as candidates advance through the process.
